It features a hand-turned 3 1/2" diameter whorl made from Baltic birch ply, with a 10" long birch shaft and a cup hook with a bronze finish.
Stained Gun stock and sealed.
I hand turn these with the mass to the rim for better balance and longer spin.

I wanted to try one of the gear spindles so I selected the atom one since I have a PhD in chemistry. Really liking all the slots, it is very convenient to have one where you want it instead of having to turn the spindle to get to one slot.
